Heater Core Replacement Procedures

The following procedures are available on the AutoZone website. Below the procedures we have included videos from YouTube to help clarify the procedures.

Removal & Installation (Procedures provided by AutoZone)
  1. Remove the HVAC module-auxiliary.
    2.  
  2. Remove the screws from heater core cover-auxiliary from the HVAC module-auxiliary.
    3.  
  3. Remove the heater core cover-auxiliary.
    4.  
  4. Remove the HVAC module pass thru seal-auxiliary.
    5.  
  5. Remove the heater core-auxiliary from the HVAC module-auxiliary.
    6.  

To install:

  1. Install the heater core-auxiliary to the HVAC module-auxiliary.
    2.  
  2. Install the HVAC module pass thru seal-auxiliary.
    3.  
  3. Install the heater core access cover-auxiliary to the HVAC module-auxiliary.
    4.  
  4. Install the screws to the heater core access cover-auxiliary and tighten to 18 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
    5.  
  5. Install the HVAC module-auxiliary.
